 WORLD IGNORES THE TRUTH!

Monday Morning Message, July 19, 2010

Seventy-four people were killed and hundreds more seriously wounded in a recent suicide bombing in Uganda. It is unclear exactly who was complicit in this attack but various forces of the Taliban have taken credit for the carnage.

In Afghanistan, we are losing the battle for winning the hearts and souls of the natives because of civilian casualties.  When the enemies hide in the homes of locals after planting roadside bombs, it is like trying to kill the ant that took a bite of your sandwich after it returns to the nest. 

It is more than frustrating that our media cannot find better ways to communicate the intent and source of the actions of these events.  This is not such a difficult picture to paint in helping with the truth!   

A. The cowardly act of suicide bombing intentionally targets those who cannot defend themselves and hopes to kill as many as possible.


B. The American military is trying everything possible to avoid killing civilians and yet it has and will likely happen again, but our intent and objectives are exact opposites of the enemy.


C. Loss of life from any eventuality is a sad and sobering tragedy.  I fear that both sides could use some sensitivity training on valuing life to a greater extent.  I trust that our military actions are always geared to be just that! To remind even our enemies that we value life!
